GoPath Diagnostics
The request and our approach.
Thanks so much for reaching out about your video project. The work your doing is very important and we’d love to be a part of it. This proposal will take you through our approach for the project, deliverables so we all know exactly what to expect, a timeline, and then some work examples and costs. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We put together these estimates to the best of our knowledge based on the conversations we’ve had and what we know about your brand, but if you want to add or subtract or change anything, we’re happy to do that.
GoPath has been around for a while, but has had a lot of recent growth and it’s time to tell more people about it. That’s what we’ll help you do. We’ll help you create an About Us video that talks about what you do in the space of diagnostics, hereditary testing, prostate cancer testing, therapies for people with cancer, and more. What you do is innovative and exciting, but we need to help your potential customers learn more about your business. The video will be 2-3 minutes in length, it will be driven by a voice over and will feature stock assets brought to life through motion graphics. It’s not a cheesy cartoon, it’s about choosing the right visual elements that will help tell your story and tying them together with other assets, music, and voice over.
Deliverables and how it all works.
So what will the project entail…
Pre-production:
You provide us a few paragraphs about exactly what you want conveyed as well as any other information you want to include.
We’ll take that and create a script that we’ll send back to you. You can take that script and tweak and change it to match your brand voice and vision. Once that’s locked in, we’ll start editing.
During pre-pro we’re also pulling stock assets (images/music), getting voice over samples, etc.
This is also a great time for you to share any brand assets like style guides, vector logos, existing imagery, etc.
Editing:
We’ll take the script that you guys approve and edit that together into a “first look” or “rough cut”.
The initial first look takes about 2 weeks to complete
It will be edited to a “scratch” voice over track, we won’t put the final VO in until you’ve seen everything so we avoid any extra costs for re-recording
We use software called Frame.io to consolidate feedback and give everyone, one single source of truth for changes
After the first look, you’ll provide your feedback and we’ll go into the revision stage
Revisions are hard to assign a time frame to because it depends on how many people need to look at the video and how extensive the comments are.
We’ll provide new versions of the video 48 hours after all feedback is in from you.
That process continues for 3-5 rounds of revisions so we can get everything exactly right. After a few rounds we’ll do the VO session and put in the professional talent that you picked.
Once everything is exactly how you want it, we’re done!
Final Deliverables:
One, 2-3 minute motion graphics style video.
How long will it take?
We’ll both agree on a final timeline once a project is approved and ready to kick off, but in general you’d be looking at…
Pre-production: 1-2 weeks
Script writing, asset gathering, script approval, etc
Initial Editing: 2 weeks
Putting it all together with the scratch VO
Revisions: 1-2 weeks
We’ll make all the changes, the timing depends on how many there are and who’s all involved
Final Output: 1-2 days
Overall: We generally say a video like this would take 4 weeks on the fastest end and 8 weeks on the slowest, typically you’re looking about 6 weeks depending on revisions along the way.
Here’s some of our work…
Our Reel - So I Did
A little about us
It’s important to learn a little bit about who you’re working with before a project starts. We’re not fresh out of college and decided to start doing our own thing. Our founder & Creative Director, Cal Engel has over 20 years experience in the industry. Spanning from traditional marketing agencies to innovation agencies to brands to digital out of home, even working with literally the biggest music acts in the world. Ten years ago he decided to form AV Collective as a way to provide that same high quality work to clients, but without them having to pay the overhead of a traditional agency. Why’s that important for you? Every project is going to have challenges. It’s about the knowledge and expertise of the people you work with, that allows them to overcome those challenges and deliver projects beyond your expectations.
Here’s what a few of our clients have said about us…
“Working with Cal at AV Collective has been a feather in my professional cap. We have created work that changed the way people thought of my company, turning our executives and customers into rock stars. Cal is highly creative; he can put together innovative ideas and concepts independently. Cal is also highly collaborative, so you can bring your ideas (no matter how crazy) with you and he can help bring them to life.”
“Words do not describe how amazing Cal and the team have been to work with. They have helped our agency out on a lot of last minute projects, which have included editing, VO, music and design. The attention to detail and thoughtfulness for each project they have been engaged on has been incredibly refreshing. They take true pride and ownership in each project.”
“From beginning to end, just a world-class experience. I do know that those words get used a lot, world-class, to the point where they don’t mean much but, for me, as someone who has been on countless photo, commercial, and video shoots, knowing every single detail is the difference between a project that moves through ideation to completion smoothly and an experience that is less than ideal for all involved. Working with Cal has been nothing short of spectacular.”
