Paylocity Business Profiles

We’re experts at storytelling.

We have a long history with Paylocity and are very familiar with the company, the brand, and what you do for your customers. For this project, we’ll be able to take your objectives and craft them into questions that will tell the businesses story while getting across the points that are important to the video you want to create. What you don’t want is to just capture a bunch of unrelated sound bytes and hope that they come together in a story. You want to know the end objectives and help the on camera talent get there so everyone is happy with the end results.

To do this, you need to have non professional talent on camera. You want the people who are out there day to day, but those people aren’t always the most comfortable with being filmed. That’s where our expertise comes in on the filming day. We know how to get the most out of their answers while keeping them comfortable. We ask them the questions we need answered, but also let them explore paths that they find interesting. That will often lead to little gems you didn’t know about. Because we’ve worked with hundreds of real people on camera, we know how to help them tell their authentic story in an engaging way.

For this project, we’ll travel to 3 businesses. One on the west coast, one on the east coast, and one in the midwest. Our team will consist of our Director / Main camera operator as well as a 2nd camera operator / Production assistant. We like to keep the team as small as we can so the talent doesn’t get overwhelmed and your costs stay low. We’ll spend a half day filming 3-4 key individuals at each business. Then we’ll spend the rest of the day capturing b-roll of their offices. After we have those conversations on location, we’ll go back to our offices and begin editing. We’ll edit together a 3-4 minute video for each business that you use to elevate the Paylocity brand.

A little about us.

It’s important to learn a little bit about who you’re working with before a project starts. We’re not fresh out of college and decided to start doing our own thing. Our founder & Creative Director, Cal Engel has over 20 years experience in the industry. Spanning from traditional marketing agencies to innovation agencies to brands to digital out of home, even working with literally the biggest music acts in the world. Ten years ago he decided to form AV Collective as a way to provide that same high quality work to clients, but without them having to pay the overhead of a traditional agency. Why’s that important for you? Every project is going to have challenges. It’s about the knowledge and expertise of the people you work with, that allows them to overcome those challenges and deliver projects beyond your expectations.
