About me.

I’ve been sitting at this desk for a long time, and I’m the definition of a “jack of all trades”. I got my start as an art apprentice in a mount room at the company most well known for the Monopoly at McDonald’s scandal. From there I taught myself video, worked at another agency doing work for McDonald’s, left that to tour the world as the Jonas Brother’s photographer, came back from that and bounced around a bunch of different spots before deciding to just start my own company.

It’s been a wild journey and I think I’ve got a unique perspective on things. That, coupled with a new MacBook Pro and reading lots of the same questions on the Video related sub Reddits and Facebook groups made me realize I should be writing more. So, we’ve got a blog here at AV Collective. Nobody will probably read it, but at least I can get some thought out.

Stay tuned, my goal is 2 blog posts a week. Starting with some updates to old ones and mixing in lots of new thoughts, behind the scenes, and some case studies. Enjoy.
